DIY Green and Glowing Whole Food's Smoothie
I don't know about you, but I'm always craving this expensive ass Green and Glowing Smoothie from Whole Foods. But let's be real, $7 for a beverage is kinda ridiculous- even if the organic spinach came from a pesticide free local farm that was built by the woodchucker himself. Lucky for you, I have perfected the DIY version that tastes exactly like the one they sell! Your Welcome. Now let's get to it!
Serving Size: (1) 10oz smoothie
- 1 cup of washed baby spinach
- 1/2 cup of frozen organic peaches
- 1/2 cup of frozen organic pineapples
- 1/4 cup of frozen organic mango
- 1/2 of an organic banana
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1 cup of soy milk (vanilla soy milk for a sweeter taste)
The steps are pretty simple!
First put all the fruits in the blender. Make sure the banana is on the bottom. Because it is not frozen, it will help the blade start the blending process. Then put in your spinach, coconut flakes, and top it off with soy milk. I personally prefer the Light SILK Vanilla Soy Milk for a sweeter taste, but you can honestly use any kind of milk: Almond, Coconut, 2%, Non-Fat, etc. Blend until smooth. Finally, enjoy your smoothie in a mason jar for that solid instagram pic. You know you were thinking it.
