New Year, New Me: 3 Step Diet Plan

OKAY, time to get back to reality. The holidays are officially over and you can now start returning all your unwanted lotions and candles. Nobody is judging you, everybody does it I swear. With the New Year comes new goals and resolutions. "THIS is the year that I am going to look like Beyonce," said everybody on January 1st. Sound familiar? Yeah. You have Beyonce abs yet? No. 

Dieting is NOT starving yourself and allowing the option of eating a cube of cheese when you feel like you are about to faint. What people tend to forget is the "and exercise" part that typically comes after the word diet. Working out helps stimulate your metabolism and in return, allows you to burn more calories and eat more foods without carrying the weight! 

Here are 3 steps I take to help me get that summer bod! 

1. Motivation

Get yourself some cute workout clothes! I know it sounds dumb, but feeling good plays a huge role. When you are in sluggish clothes, you just want the workout to be over. Make working out a lifestyle and you will never have to "diet" again! I personally love running errands and grabbing a smoothie in my workout gear afterwards anyways :) 

2. stay hydrated

Passing out during your workout is not cute. Drinking water keeps you hydrated and replenishes the water you are loosing from sweating and even breathing. I like to put fruit in my water just so it adds a hint of flavor. 

3. change up your workout

Going to the gym can be such a drag. Try changing up your workouts so you don't get bored of the scenery and exercises. Do some abs in your living room, change it up by jogging your favorite trail, or even try doing yoga at the beach!
